The mission of Norman Smith Elementary School is to educate and empower the whole student to strive to reach their highest academic potential in a positive and rigorous learning environment.
Prioritized List of Goal Targets
1. Increase the average TCAP Reading/Language Arts scores to equal or surpass the state's average.
2. Decrease the gap between special education students and regular education students by 2 points in Reading and Math.
3. Increase the number of fifth grade students scoring outstanding (6) and strong (5) on the writing assessment from 18% to 25%.
