I am a life-long resident of Hopkinville, Kentucky. I have a double major in political science and history. Following my graduation, I received my paralegal degree from Southeastern Paralegal Institute, in Nashville, Tennessee. After working in that field for several years, I decided I wanted something more fulfilling. I returned to APSU to earn my certification in elementary education. I have taught first grade at Norman Smith Elementary School since 1999. In my spare time, I love spending time with my mother, sister, Darlene, and my two nieces, MaKenlee and Cassidy. I also enjoy reading biographies and watching my favorite television shows. I love being in the classroom. Each year I learn so much from the students about my teaching style and their learning styles. I am looking forward to another great year in first grade.
