Hi and welcome to 5th grade! My name is Shana Simms and I am excited to be your student's 5th grade teacher this year. I am originally from Georgia but as a military spouse, I have get to move and experience different teaching/learning environments in different states. This year begins my 8th year as a teacher, and my 3rd year teaching 5th grade. I received my B.S from THE Paine College, in Augusta, Ga then my M.Ed from Mercer University in Atlanta, Ga, in Early Childhood Education. A little more about me. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 6 years, and we have 1 beautiful baby girl and 1 super sweet fur baby girl. I live for music and rainy days. I also like to watch movies, spend time with family and to cook new foods/recipes. I can't wait to see what wonderfulness this school year as in store!
