I have spent the past 5 years as a school counselor at the high school level and this year will be my first full year at the elementary level. I will be in a split position, serving both Norman Smith Elementary and Barksdale Elementary. I have previously worked with elementary aged students as a summer camp counselor and director, an after-school program director, and a staff member at a non-profit organization. While at Barksdale and Norman Smith, I'll be presenting class lessons along with working with students both in small groups and individually. When not at school, I most enjoy spending time with my husband and son. I also like to travel, cook, and keep up with my garden. I am so excited to join the Bear and Bengal families and am eager to meet my new students and their families.
